The carrier informed us that all TDMA services will no longer work after March 31, 2007. As you know, the TDMA technology is an old analogue technology and it has been obsolete today. We stopped doing new activations for TDMA one year ago. Now the carrier will be shutting of the network completely.
This means that you will not be able to add minutes to your current service. We will not be offering any TDMA recharge cards after January 15th 2006.
The good news is that you can keep your Locus Mobile TDMA phone number and move to a new Oxygen Wireless GSM service. Oxygen Wireless GSM service has much better coverage than old TDMA service. It works everywhere where Cingular GSM service is working. It costs only 14 c/min and minutes are good for up to 90 days depending on the recharge card denomination. SMS messaging is 5 c/min.
| CARD VALUE | GOOD FOR | MINUTES | SMS |
|---|---|---|---|
| $10 | 30 days | 71 | YES |
| $20 | 45 days | 142 | YES |
| $40 | 45 days | 285 | YES |
| $60 | 60 days | 428 | YES |
| $100 | 90 days | 714 | YES |
As an incentive to switch to new GSM wireless service, LD POST offers you 20% discount in addition to already low sale price for any GSM phone we have in stock:
