No. You do not have to switch your Intra-State carrier.
You can chose to do so and then benefit from our low Intra-State rates, but you can also chose to keep it with your current Local or Long Distance Carrier.

Any travel card will allow you to call from a pay phone using a toll free access number. Bear in mind that there is a pay phone surcharge on your Travel Card when used from a public phone. This surcharge was recently increased by Federal Communications Commission and be as high as $1.50 per call.
To avoid the pay phone surcharge when using your card domestically, we recommend depositing $0.35 into the payphone as if you were going to make a local call. Then rather then dialing the toll free access number, dial the local access number for your area. This will avoid the payphone surcharge and provide lower rates per minute.
