Use that link for a local access number for Peanuts Prepaid Service from any of the following countries: USA, Canada, Russia (Moscow, St.Petersburg), Ukraine(Kiev).
  2. If you call from a number that is pre-approved for PIN-less dialing, you will hear your balance, however if calling from a different phone, you will need to enter your PIN.
  3. For International calls dial 011 + Country code + City code + Phone Number + "#"; For calls within/to USA, Canada, the Caribbean dial 1 + Area code + Number + "#"

FAQ SupportWhere can I find country / city codes?

You can access our international country/city code database.

It is for your convenience only. Long Distance Post does not claim to have the most accurate information.

FAQ SupportHow do I use the Local access numbers?

Using a local access number instead of the Toll free number will save you anywhere from 1/2 to 2 c/min. The calling procedure is exactly the same as using the Toll free number.

Please note, it is your responsibility to make sure that the access number that you dial is indeed local for you.

FAQ SupportHow do I access my Peanuts Prepaid Service from a cell phone.

The calling procedure is exactly the same as when you call from a regular phone. However, here are a couple of hints when using a cell phone:

  • Most cell phones now have free nation wide calling included as part of their plan, which makes it cost the same amount to dial the New York City local access number when using Peanuts Prepaid Service. This will save you 1.5 cents per min compared to using the toll free access number.
  • After you have dialed the full destination number, be careful NOT to press the "Send" or "Talk" button. Most cell phones today would open a second line and connect you directly to the number you just entered. Should this be the case you will be billed by your cell phone company at the rate they choose. One way to avoid this is to start using the speed dial feature of the Peanuts Prepaid Service.

FAQ SupportHow do I turn on or off the balance and minute announcement?

To turn on or off your balance and minutes announcement:

  1. Login to your account with your email and password.
  2. Go to Peanuts Prepaid service.
  3. Click "Manage Service Account"

Click on the link that says "Balance announcement: Turn Off."

FAQ SupportHow do I use the speed dial feature?

For Peanuts Prepaid Service the speed dial feature allows you to store up to 100 international and U.S. phone numbers you call most often, and then retrieve those numbers with a two-digit combination.

To use the speed dial:

  1. Dial a toll free or local access number.
  2. Enter your PIN if not calling from a phone number that is pre-approved for PIN-less dialing.
  3. Listen to your balance.
  4. Dial the speed dial code + "#" (for example, 1# or 2#, etc.).

To manage your speed dial:

  1. Login to your account.
  2. Go to Peanuts Prepaid.
  3. Click "Speed dial."

Here you can add or delete phone numbers that are stored in your speed dial. Please note that these numbers have nothing to do with the PIN-less dialing feature.

Speed dial can also be managed from your telephone:

  1. Dial a toll free or local access number.
  2. While you are listening to the balance of the account, press star "*".
  3. Select 2 to access the Speed Dial administration menu.
  4. Select the speed dial code you'd like to review or change + "#" (for example, 1#).

FAQ SupportHow do I find out the local access or toll free number and my PIN for use when I am not at my home phone?

Both your PIN and toll free access number were sent to you in the original e-mail when you purchased Peanuts Prepaid Service. You can also find this information:

  1. Login to your account with your email and password.
  2. Go to Peanuts Prepaid service.
  3. Click "Manage Service Account"

A local access number for your area and the toll free number will be listed in the top left-hand corner of the page. Your PIN is the same number as your account number.

FAQ SupportWhy am I being charged 12 cents when the rate is 10 cent per minute?

It is possible that your one minute call will cost you 12 c/min even though the rate shown is 10 c/min.

Here is the math:
10 c/min + 11% surcharge = 11.1 cent

As rounding is done up to the next cent, your will see a charge for one minute call of 12 cents.

However, if you look at the call longer then 1 minute to the same destination, then you will see your actual cost.
For example 20 minute call to the same destination will cost
11.1 * 20 = $2.22 cent. This is exactly 11.1 c/min including the surcharge.

FAQ SupportHow Can I Redial The Number?

Peanuts Prepaid service offers two different re-dialing functions:

1. Dial New Number Feature - While on the call, just dial ## and wait for 5 seconds or so. You will be prompted to dial a new destination number. That eliminates dialing again the local access number and the PIN if you need to make a second call or redial the same number.

2. Redial Last Dialed Number - This feature will re-dial again the number you dialed the last time before you hung up the call. Even if it was yesterday or a month ago. Just dial **# after prompted to dial the destination number, and the system will dial for you the last dialed number.

help and SupportDirect Speed Dial Feature

FAQ SupportWhat is the Direct Speed Dial Feature?

Direct Speed Dial is the simplest and shortest way of dialing from any U.S. phone, especially from your cell phone. It is a revolutionary way of calling that simplifies everything.

For each phone number you need to call, we will provide you with a unique U.S. and Toll Free Direct Speed Dial number. Instead of dialing an access number as you normally would to call to your party, you just dial either of these unique Direct Speed Dial numbers that will connect you to your party with no additional dialing. This means that you can enter this Direct Speed Dial number into your phone address book and call directly from the address book of your phone. If you are calling from a phone with unlimited long distance service, like your mobile phone for example, you can dial the regular U.S. Direct Speed Dial number.

If you are calling from a phone that does not offer free long distance calls in the U.S., then you can use the Toll Free Direct Speed Dial number (dialing the Toll Free number will add 1.5c per minute to the calling rate). This feature is the most useful for calling international numbers, although it can also be used for U.S. domestic calling.

This feature is especially important for mobile phone users. Now, you can program your international contact numbers in the phone book of your mobile phone and make calls simply by selecting the name in the address book of your phone.

FAQ SupportIs there any additional cost for using Direct Speed Dial of Peanuts Prepaid?

There is absolutely no additional cost of using Direct Speed Dial. For each international destination number you need to call to, we issue two unique numbers in USA. One is a local number and the other one is a Toll Free number. You can use either of these two numbers. Dialing a Toll Free Speed Dial number will cost you the same rate as a Toll Free access number of Peanuts. The local number will bill you the same rate as if you use the local access number of Peanuts.

If you have unlimited Long Distance services on your phone, like most mobile phones in the US and now many land-line services, then you should use the Direct Speed Dial Saver number -- a local US number. However, if calling within the US costs you extra, then you should use the Direct Speed Dial Toll Free number.

FAQ SupportWhat Is So Special About This Direct Speed Dial Feature?

Direct Speed Dial Feature of Peanuts Prepaid enables you to call directly from the phone book of your mobile or other phone. Instead of dialing an access number, PIN, Destination Number ( total up to 35 digits) all you need to dial with Direct Speed Dial is a simple US 10 digit number. That is it. Once you dial the number, you will get connected to the party after the number of minutes is announced.

This means no more fumbling with the phone buttons, no more mis-dialing and you will not receive a horrific bill from your mobile carrier for accidentally making direct call to international party, while dialing. This happens quite often, when we accidentally press the Talk button more than once during the classic calling card dial. Direct Speed Dial does not involve any international number dialing, so you can't mis-dial and then get a bill for $3000 from your LD or Mobile carrier.

FAQ SupportWhat Are Suggested Uses for Direct Speed Dial

1.       From the phone book of any phone – most importantly from a mobile phone. This provides the convenience of one-touch dial and this feature makes sure that you will not get a bill from your mobile or long distance carrier for accidentally dialing an international number as you will just be dialing a US or Toll Free phone number. Just enter the name and the corresponding Direct Speed Dial Number into your phone book and the next time you need to call just select the name and be instantly connected to your party without any additional dialing, PIN numbers, etc.

2.       Use it as a ‘follow me’ number. Let’s say you travel and want certain people to always to be able to reach you.  All you need to do is enter your current phone number into the speed dial table and provide the Direct Speed Dial number to your callers.  Note: your callers’ phone numbers must be registered in your Peanuts account.  Any time your phone number changes, just log in to your Peanuts Prepaid account and change your phone number in the Speed Dial table.  Your callers will always be calling the same Direct Speed Dial number you gave them and the calls will always be forwarded to you no matter where you are.

3.       Limit employees or relatives to only be able to call certain numbers.  You want an employee or relative to be able to call to a particular person or business, however you do not want them to be able to call anybody using your Peanuts Prepaid account.  This is now very easy with Direct Speed Dial.

a.       Register the phone number(s) in your Peanuts Prepaid account from which calls are going to be made from (e.g. your employee’s office number or your uncle’s home phone number)

b.       Enter the Destination number into the Speed Dial table and click ‘Save’

c.       Provide your employee or relative with the Direct Speed Dial number – Toll Free or Saver.

4.       You need to help your elderly parents make dialing simpler.  Our experience shows that older folks frequently (one out of every two times) misdial international calls when using Peanuts Prepaid.  Provide them with the list of Direct Speed Dial numbers and they will no longer need to dial 30 digits to make a call, but instead just one simple U.S. or Toll Free number.

FAQ SupportHow Many Direct Speed Dial Numbers Can I recieve?

At this time you can set up as many as 70 Direct Speed Dial numbers. This means that you can program up to 70 international and domestic phone numbers you are calling most and for each of these 70 we will issue you a unique US number that you will need to dial instead to get connected.

FAQ SupportWill I Be Able to Use the Direct Speed Dial When Calling from Phone not registered in Peanuts?

No. To use Direct Speed Dial feature the phone you are making calls must be registered in your account for PIN-less dialing. You can have as many numbers registered on the same account as you wish. All phones registered on the Peanuts account for PIN-less dialing will share the same Direct Speed Dial numbers. So, you can call you Mom from your mobile or from your land-line dialing the same Direct Speed Dial number.

FAQ SupportDoes Direct Speed Dial Work From Canada

Yes, Direct Speed Dial can be used from Canada. Direct Speed Dial Toll Free numbers are working from Canada and will be billed at the same rate as when used from USA.

help and SupportResolving problems

FAQ SupportI ordered the service, but did not receive a confirmation email. Why?

If you are a first time customer, we will need to verify your order before we send you a confirmation email. Verification calls will occur within 24 hours of your purchase from us.  For quicker verification feel free to call us after your order has been submitted.

If you are an existing customer, then you can try the following:

  • Check your "Spam box" or "Bulk mail" folder in your email. Sometimes email providers block our emails for your protection. If this is the case, make sure to add "helpdesk at ldpost dot com" to the "white list" of your email service.
  • Login to your account and select "Peanuts Prepaid" on the next screen. It will take you to your Peanuts account. Your Account number (PIN) will be shown on all of the account pages.

If you get a message on the screen that you do not have a Peanuts Prepaid account with us, then this may be due to one of the following reasons:

  • You did not complete all steps when placing the order. In this case your order was never processed. You will need to place the order again.
  • Your credit card was declined. In this case you would get a message on the screen with explanation.

If you are still unsure call us and we will help you trouble shoot the problem.

FAQ SupportI am calling from a number set up for PIN-less dialing with the Peanuts Prepaid Service, but I am still being asked to dial the PIN code.

First of all, make sure that your number is entered correctly in your Peanuts Prepaid account. To do this:

  1. Login to your account with your email and password.
  2. Go to Peanuts Prepaid.
  3. Click "Manage Service Account."

Where it says Phone Numbers, you should see all phone numbers listed for PIN-less dialing with this service. Please note that the "Speed Dial" section is for destination numbers only. Placing your phone number in this section will not set it up for PIN-less dialing.

Make sure you are dialing a correct access number. You can use 800-530-8750 or one of the local access numbers

Also, make sure your caller ID is not blocked. To unblock it, you should either call your local company or dial *82 before the access number each time you call.

If you are calling from your work phone, check if your office uses a PBX system with several outside lines. You might be getting a different line every time you place a call. You can experiment and call your cell phone to see what number shows on the caller ID. In any case, we recommend that you refrain from adding work phone numbers if other people might use the same line.

If none of the above helps, please call Customer Service at 1-800-640-2599.

FAQ SupportI got a message 'invalid destination number'.

If you get a similar message, please try the following:

Make sure you use the correct format for placing long distance calls. Please follow the correct dialing instructions:

  1. For International calls dial 011 + Country code + City code + Phone Number + "#"
  2. For calls within/to USA, Canada and the Caribbean dial 1 + Area code + Number + "#"

If error message continues to play, check the number you are dialing. Make sure you are dialing the correct country and city code.

Make sure you wait for the prompt "Please dial the destination number" before you start dialing. Also keep in mind that the system will wait for the number 20 seconds after the prompt. If you dial too slowly, the destination phone number will not be entered in full.

Certain that you have done all of the following steps correctly? Give us a call and we will help you troubleshoot the problem 1 (800) 640-2599.

FAQ SupportI do not get the balance anouncement when I place calls.

It is possible that you have turned the balance announcement off by accident.

To turn on your balance and minutes announcement:

  1. Login to your account with your email and password.
  2. Go to Peanuts Prepaid.
  3. Click "Manage Service Account"
  4. Click Balance announcement: "Turn On."

FAQ SupportMy account was used by someone else. Will LDPOST restore the balance?

No. Long Distance Post is not responsible for lost or stolen account information.

We recommend that you do not disclose your account information to anyone. If you have visitors and you want them to temporarily use your service, you can add (and then later remove) their phone numbers to your account, instead of giving them your PIN code.

Also, we recommend that you do not add your work phone number to your account if you are not the only person using this phone. Some of the calling cards share the same carrier with the Peanuts Prepaid Service and if someone tries to use one of these cards he/she might end up using your account because it is activated for PIN-less dialing.

FAQ SupportI placed a call from my cell phone using the Peanuts Prepaid Service and I was later charged by my cell phone company.

This usually happens if instead pressing the "#" key, you press the "Send" or "Talk" button after dialing the destination number. This causes most modern cell phones to open a second line and place the call to the dialed number directly. In this case you would see in your cell phone statement two calls - one short call to our access number and a second call to the destination number.

Unfortunately, we have no control over such cell phone feature.

In order to prevent this from happening, you can request from your cell phone provider to block all international calls dialed directly from your phone.

You can also start using our Speed Dial feature. This way you will be dialing a two-digit code instead of the destination number and even if you press the "Send" or "Talk" key by mistake, your cell phone will not be able to connect you directly.

FAQ SupportThe transaction didn't go through, but my credit card was charged.

Most likely, what you see as a charge on your credit card is only an Authorization - an incomplete transaction that will disappear shortly. You should see this incomplete transaction as "Authorization", "Pending Debit" or something similar - it depends on the bank that you use.

Authorization is the first stage of every credit card transaction - making sure that you have enough funds available. After that the system proceeds with verifying your information. If the transaction doesn't go through for some reason, the authorization usually disappears in 24 hours to several days - again it depends on your bank.

FAQ SupportWhen I dial the access number for my other Long Distance Post phone cards it tells me my balance before I enter my PIN.

If you bought both Peanuts Prepaid Service and certain Long Distance Post calling cards like Global PAPA, TeleTzar, Frugal Asia, Abla Con Mexico or Asia MAMA, you might have difficulties using these phone cards from the phone numbers registered for PIN-less dialing with Peanuts Prepaid Service. In combining numbers for some of our cards to provide more access numbers minor problems have occurred because some phone cards share the same switching platform as Peanuts Prepaid Service. Peanuts Prepaid Service takes a priority when you dial the access number, so instead of getting a prompt to dial your phone card PIN, you are being told your Peanuts Prepaid Service balance. If your Peanuts Prepaid Service balance is zero, you will get the following, "You do not have any credit" before even entering your phone card PIN, as this is Peanuts Prepaid Service balance being announced.

To fix the problem:

  1. Login to your account with your email and password.
  2. Go to Peanuts Prepaid.
  3. Click "Manage Account Settings."
  4. Remove your phone number from the list of registered numbers for PIN-less dialing on your Peanuts Prepaid Service account.

Please note that once you have removed your PIN-less dialing from your Peanuts Prepaid Service you will need to enter your PIN access this card. Sometimes people forget they had Peanuts Prepaid Service and never properly close out the account. Because minutes never expire with Peanuts Prepaid Service the card may have been purchased a few years prior. To solve this problem, follow the steps listed above.

You can always register your home number back into Peanuts when you no longer need to use phone cards from your phone.
